How Are You Your Authentic Self?
Check out these easy somatic invitations...
Practice connecting with your body throughout every day.
The easiest way to do this is to invite your awareness to ride the flow of your breath as you breath throughout your entire body (front, back, sides, top and bottom, inside and outside).
Notice any sensations or absence of sensations.
If you are ready to explore a little further, consider something in your life that is a full "yes" for you. Bring this to your awareness and notice your felt sense experience (what you feel in your body).
Bring a conscious savoring of this; become familiar with how a "yes" resonates in your experience.
Now consider something in your life that is a full "no" for you. Bring this to your awareness and notice your felt sense experience. Bring a conscious savoring of this. Become familiar with how a "no" resonates in your experience.
Do this as many times as you are called to. Every time you practice this, you are strengthening your relationship with your body. This is an example of somatic healing.
When you have a choice to make, invite yourself into connection with your body. Notice if you have a more clear understanding of what is true for you.
Next, be curious if you have the courage to express this openly to those you are in relationship with, including yourself.
How do you practice being in connection with your authentic self?
What relationships nourish your authenticity?
